Born three years apart in New York and Hong Kong, Sienna and Havannah travelled widely with their parents before settling in London in the early 80’s. Free spirited and ambitious, both sisters had a clear idea of what they wanted to do after leaving school – Savannah studying Fashion design and knitwear at Central Saint Martins and Sienna heading to New York to study acting at the Lee Strasbourg Theatre & Film Institute.

Savannah graduated with first class honours and went on to work for Alexander McQueen, later becoming a respected freelance designer for clients such as Matthew Williamson, Anya Hindmarch, Betty Jackson and Shanghai Tang. Sienna worked her way up through television and theatre to become a leading film actress.

Savannah and Sienna have always had a shared design sensibility. While living together during Savannah’s Alexander McQueen and freelance days, Sienna never held back her aesthetic opinions. ‘Sienna’s always been quite forward-thinking in her approach to fashion, so working with her is great as she comes up with crazy ideas that I perhaps wouldn’t otherwise consider. She’s also great to bounce ideas off and was an excellent fit-model when I was freelancing.’

While they’d always discussed working together at some point, it wasn’t until fashion entrepreneur Carlos Ortega approached them to develop a designer brand that the idea really came to life. And after 18 months working on designs and developing the brand, Savannah and Sienna are really excited to finally see their clothes in stores.

Twenty8twelve by s. miller is Sienna and Savannah Miller’s fashion line. The name comes from Sienna’s birth date (28 December) and was chosen through a desire by both sisters that the name should be a little more abstract than a direct reference to their names.
